Addons Structure Guide

How to write custom commands, event handlers, and extensions.

SupportBot lets you add custom commands and events through the `/Addons` folder without modifying the core bot files.

## Addon Location

Drop your `.js` files or folders directly inside `/Addons`:

```
Addons/
├── custom-commands.js
└── auto-responder/
    ├── index.js
    └── config.yml
```

## Creating a Command

Use the `Command` class to add a slash command:

```javascript
const { ApplicationCommandOptionType } = require("discord.js");
const { Command } = require("../Structures/Addon.js");
module.exports = new Command({
  name: "pingstaff",
  description: "Alerts online staff members.",
  options: [],
async run(interaction) {
    const guild = interaction.guild;
    await interaction.reply({
      content: "Staff have been notified for server: " + guild.name,
      ephemeral: true
    });
  }
});
```

## Creating an Event Listener

Use the `Event` class to listen for Discord events:

```javascript
const { Event } = require("../Structures/Addon.js");
module.exports = new Event("guildMemberAdd", async (client, member) => {
  const channel = member.guild.systemChannel;
  if (!channel) return;
channel.send("Welcome to the server, " + member.user.tag + "!");
});
```

## Using Database & Configs in Addons

You can import the database adapter and configs directly:

```javascript
const db = require("../Structures/Database.js");
const ConfigStore = require("../Structures/ConfigStore.js");
// Get all tickets
const tickets = db.getAllTickets();
// Read config
const config = ConfigStore.supportbot;
```
